Canopy Point Coffee envisioned intelliCafé — a fully unattended specialty coffee shop capable of operating 24/7 in locations where a full-staffed café simply isn't practical or financially viable.
Universities, corporate campuses, retail locations, and event venues all had demand for premium coffee, but not the budget or space for a full café operation. The challenge: deliver a barista-quality ordering and payment experience with zero staff, at scale, without sacrificing quality or convenience.

XPR provided the self-ordering kiosk that powers the entire intelliCafé customer journey — from browsing and customization all the way through payment — without a single staff member involved.
The XPR Kiosk integrates directly with the FreedomPay payment gateway and the venue's existing POS system, accepting all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and campus cards. A built-in receipt printer issues a one-time-use QR code that unlocks each drink at the Franke brewer.
The XPR Kiosk also integrates seamlessly with Franke coffee machines, so every customized drink order flows directly from the kiosk to the brewer — exactly as the customer configured it.

Customers browse and customize from 300+ drink combinations — hot or iced lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, espressos, chai tea, hot chocolate, and brewed coffee. Choose milk type, select from 6 syrups, and add an extra espresso shot. Multiple drinks on one ticket.

The customer grabs a cup from the kiosk's built-in cup dispenser, then fills it at the Follett ice machine — right up to the marked fill line. No guesswork, no waste.
